Most mold technicians offer mold removal, in which the goal is simply to “get rid of the mold.” While this might sound ideal, often the techs who perform mold removal kick up the mold spores in order to remove them from the problem area. The goal of mold remediation is to lower the mold levels in the home back to normal levels — equal to or less than the natural levels of mold outside. This is done by addressing the levels of mold in your home, rather than just kicking up and disturbing mold in hopes of removing it. Mold remediation is the more effective option that’s less likely to lead to the need for another mold removal soon after the first job is done.
