Mold remediation first begins with an initial assessment that can include a full home inspection and mold testing to really get a feel for the severity of mold in the home. If there are visible mold growths in a certain area of the home, an inspection and test are typically not needed. Once mold is at the point of growing in visible patches, the mold problem is out of hand.
Arguably the most important step during the remediation process is setting up the containment zone. Because mold spores are microscopic airborne nuisances, they can quickly and easily spread to other areas of the home through vents, cracks, and other areas that allow airflow.
To prevent this, we set up an extremely secure containment zone surrounding the affected areas to ensure that all mold spores stay exactly where we want them. We lay down a thick plastic coating over all carpets, walls, and entryways to make a “bubble” effect. Everything stays in, nothing gets out.

Once the mold growths have been contained to one area, our certified technicians can get straight to work! We will first jot down precise measurements of the containment zone in order to find identify the perfect size Air Filtration Device (AFD), using the wrong size AFD can have catastrophic effects!
Then, we scour over each and every surface with hawk-like intensity, looking for any sign of mold. While many other mold removal companies would just spray their “special” mold-killing solution and call it a done job, we take the route less traveled.
This is when the demolition, if needed, will occur.

Due to the unfortunate nature of mold, it absolutely loves porous materials such as wood, carpets, and drywall; most homes have all of these! Any porous material that cannot be completely cleaned free of mold will have to be removed from the house for safety reasons.
